First in Crane Safety - North Carolina State Law

Effective 1st October 2009

13 NCAC 07F. 0900

On June 30th 2009 North Carolina was the first state in the USA to ratify new state crane safety law based on the CDAC proposed Federal rulemaking. The New law, 13 NCAC 07F. 0900, became effective 1st October 2009.

The new law gives focus to training, certification, inspection, fall protection, assembly and power line protection. Power line safety is an important element, the new law requires when working within a defined distance of an energized power line an Insulating link must be fitted between the load and the lifting line.

Furthermore, the Insulating link is required to be approved by a 'Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory' in order to comply with the new legislation.

Our Insulating Link is the only one that complies with the law - view our UL listing here.
